Responsible for Equality And Liberty (R.E.A.L.) supports our universal human rights of freedom of religion, freedom of conscience, and freedom of worship for ALL people — without exception. We object to attacks on individual religions or identity groups, but consistently challenge those who defy our universal human rights, regardless of their reason.
As promoted on the national Tea Party Patriots Events web site for July 29, 2010, the Texas-based Northeast Tarrant Tea Party is planning an event on the “Islamization of America” on July 29, 2010 at the private Highland Meadow Montessori Academy gym, in Southlake, Texas.
This is another in a series of efforts that Responsible for Equality And Liberty (R.E.A.L.) has seen by Tea Party activists, leaders, and groups across America on Islam, in Tennessee, in New York City, in Brooklyn, and in California. This has included a planned mosque protest in Temecula, California on July 30 by a group that calls itself the Southwest Riverside County (SWRC) Tea Party Citizens in Action group.
The NE Tarrant, Texas Tea Party web page also promotes opposition to the 45-51 Park Place mosque in NYC.
This July 29 event in Southlake, Texas is clearly promoted on the national Tea Party Patriots web site, which also links to national Tea Party organizations.
An advertisement for the private Highland Meadow Montessori Academy (HMMA) in Southlake, Texas on YourCommunity.com states that “No child will be discriminated against in regards to race, color, religion, sex.” (emphasis added). The Highland Meadows Montessori Academy (HMMA) reports that its teaching philosophy is “The Montessori philosophy of education is based upon respect for the child and a desire to guide each child so that he/she may become a responsible member of society with the end goal of Global Peace through education.”

Responsible for Equality and Liberty (R.E.A.L.) supports our universal human rights to freedom of religion, freedom of worship, and freedom of conscience for all people of all faiths, including the freedom of religion supported under Article 1 of the United States Constitution. Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that “Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.”
We urge those who promote hate and intolerance to unburden the hate from their hearts.
We urge all to Choose Love, Not Hate. Love Wins.
